The Frost Radar report states that there is an overdue need for organizations to secure their mobile endpoints, as they rely on them for access to corporate networks and processing sensitive data. But unlike traditional endpoints, mobile devices are often left unprotected and so are targeted by threat actors as the starting point for breaching networks and data. Check Point’s 2020 Cyber Security Report showed that 27% of organizations worldwide were impacted by cyber-attacks involving mobiles in 2019, and 34% were hit by mobile malware. This highlights the need for strong security on both corporate-owned and BYOD mobiles.
