Check Point Aces Rigorous Testing to Achieve Prestigious Common Criteria Certification

San Carlos, CA  —  Thu, 14 Jan 2016

Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the largest pure-play security vendor globally, today announced it has achieved a Common Criteria (CC) certification for Check Point R77.30. This accomplishment adds another significant recognition in Check Point’s list of industry certifications, including the previous Common Criteria certification at Evaluation Assurance Level 4+ (EAL4+) received in December 2013.

The Common Criteria is an international standard for validating products that meet specific security requirements. The features and capabilities of a security product are evaluated through a rigorous third-party evaluation and testing process. Check Point’s solutions consistently meet and exceed the requirements established by internationally recognized standards, proving the company’s dedication to provide the highest level of security for government and enterprise organizations.

Check Point’s certified security solutions protect critical infrastructures and confidential information from advanced attacks and data leakage. Businesses of all sizes can tailor their network security infrastructure to accommodate functional and performance needs with full extensibility. With comprehensive security solutions that offer scalability, simple deployment and easy management capabilities, organizations can better protect their networks against the growing threat landscape.

Check Point’s products have undergone evaluation and validation in accordance with the provisions for Protection Profile for Network Devices listed by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), with the following two extended packages: Network Device Protection Profile Extended Package Stateful Traffic Filter Firewall and Network Device Protection Profile Extended Package VPN Gateway. The certification for Check Point R77.30 also includes additional requirements in compliance with the VPN Capability Package approved by NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC) Programs.

“Security needs are continuously evolving, and Common Criteria’s meticulous standards help determine which products can defend against the significant advances of cyberattacks,” said Dorit Dor, vice president of products, Check Point. “This certification demonstrates Check Point’s commitment to deliver innovative and unmatched security protection. We are proud of this achievement, and our customers can be continuously confident Check Point’s solutions have the highest security standards to protect their businesses.”
