NICE Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity

The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), led by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is a cooperative among government agencies, academia, and the private sector which focuses on cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development.

The NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework is organized around the core building blocks of Task, Knowledge, and Skill (TKS) statements. Work roles are composed of Tasks that comprise the work to be done. The Tasks associate Knowledge and Skill statements that constitute a learner’s potential to perform the Tasks.
